QUESTION 166Not studied yet

You have lost or damaged your driver card. What key steps allow you to continue recording activity correctly?

EU / Lithuania: lost and faulty cardsCompared with sources

Answer

Notify the competent authority and apply for a replacement within 7 calendar days. When the conditions for driving without a card are met, make printouts at the start and end of the journey, add activities and identification details, and sign them.

Please note

This exception does not apply to a card left at home or an expired card. Once you receive a replacement, do not use the earlier card if you find it; contact the issuing authority.

A simple explanation

Normally, you may drive this way for no more than 15 calendar days, while proving that you cannot produce or use the card. A longer period is allowed only when necessary to return the vehicle to its base. Officially report theft in the country where it occurred; submit a damaged card to the authority according to the prescribed procedure.

REMEMBER

Apply for replacement within 7; keep evidence and printouts.
