Under the general rule, up to 3 cabotage operations are permitted within 7 days using the same motor vehicle. Before a new cabotage period in the same country, observe the 4-day cooling-off period after the previous cabotage.

This is the general rule for carriage for hire or reward. Check the licence, previous cabotage, actual dates, weekends and public holidays; cabotage in another country and some combined transport have additional conditions.
A simple explanation
The 7-day period is linked to the final unloading of the incoming international consignment. After completing cabotage and leaving the country, the 4-day period is linked to the final cabotage unloading; changing the semi-trailer does not restart the calculation. Carry evidence of the incoming carriage and cabotage operations.
