CMR example: sender UAB “Siunta”, A Street 1, Kaunas; consignee “Prekės”, B Street 2, Warsaw; collection in Kaunas on 28 September, delivery in Warsaw; 10 pallets P01–P10, cardboard boxes of books. No mass is given. Which details will you transfer, and what else will you request?

CMR: transferring information exerciseCompared with sources

Answer

I will enter the parties' names and addresses, collection date and place, delivery place, 10 packages, marks P01–P10, and a description of the books and packaging separately. I will request the gross mass or another appropriate quantity figure and check the remaining required particulars.

Please note

The details are fictional and intended for learning. This checks CMR particulars, not numbered boxes on a specific form; signing and other journey documents are assessed separately.

A simple explanation

The date and place of issue of the consignment note, carrier details, applicable charges, instructions for customs or other formalities, and a reference to CMR are also needed. The sender's address is not necessarily the collection location. The number of packages and their marks are checked against the consignment actually taken over.

REMEMBER

Parties, places, goods and quantity are separate details.

For an instructor and a small group: choose one C/CE freight transport topic in the Lithuania and EU context. Use your own devices, including a phone and a computer.

  1. 3 questions. In ‘Recall’ mode, first answer in your own words, then read the explanation and mark what needs more review.
  2. A lesson and a diagram. Discuss what they explain and which conditions matter.
  3. One scenario. Decide before revealing the solution. Explain the reasons for your chosen action.
  4. A few quiz questions. Read the explanation for each option. You can finish the quiz early; the remaining questions will be marked as unanswered.
  5. Discussion. Everyone names one useful point and one thing that needs correcting.

How can you share or suggest a correction?

You will find the question link and feedback field below this section. Lessons, diagrams and scenarios have their own ‘Copy link’ button. ‘Suggest a correction’ helps you prepare a note with the specific link and version label. Copy or download the text and pass it on for review.

Discuss: is it easy to find an answer and return to the question? Can you explain the reason and the limits of the rule's application? Which sentence is misleading? Flag any significant legal or safety uncertainty for checking before using the material.
